Ernie and Lily hold the petition so far with 800 or so signatures before handing them into the council on the 8th of May 2006, the closing date for comments on the first draft of the  Caltongate Masterplan. The petition now has around 3000 signatures (plus almost 800 online) or so at the 13th August  2007)  They are sitting on the steps outside the back of Ernie`s home, at 221 Canongate, one of the Macrae tenements at risk from Mountgrange`s bulldozer. Lily was born on the 10th of May 3 years ago in her home on the Canongate.
